An assurance in quality and service, i-City Leisure Theme Park is now MyTQA certified

MyTQA, short for Malaysia Tourism Quality Assurance, is an initiative undertaken by the Ministry to enhance the service and quality of tourism products in Malaysia. It is a recognition of the tourism product, and also acts as an incentive to instill the culture of prioritizing service quality among tourism industry players.

The Ministry has also organized the ‘Visit Malaysia 2020’ (VM2020) campaign to help reach their goal, which includes the ‘Malaysian Travel Privilege Card’ that aims to encourage domestic tourists as well as international tourists. Malaysian Travel Privilege Card holders will get to enjoy more discounts and privileges when they travel. To help the Ministry achieve their 2020 Vision, i-City Leisure Theme Park is introducing a full park access pass – “All Day Unlimited Happyness”, in conjunction with the Malaysian Travel Privilege Card. This pass covers our main key attractions such as Red Carpet 2, SnoWalk and the acclaimed City of Digital Lights. Packages start from RM150 for domestic and RM220 for international tourists. Special packages are up for grabs for those who have purchased the ‘Malaysia Travel Privilege Card’. There is also an ‘All Day Unlimited Happyness’ package for 2 amounting to RM280 for Malaysian card holders and RM380 for international travelers.

The Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture Malaysia’s 2020 Vision is targeted at a whooping RM100 billion tourist receipts and 30 million tourist arrivals. To achieve this goal, the Ministry have taken several efforts and initiatives to promote Malaysia as a must-visit tourism destination. Among them was the MyTQA program, because the Ministry strongly believes that focusing on improving the service quality of Malaysia’s tourism spots is key to providing a good travelling experience.

“In developing i-City, we have always evolved to align our plans with the goals of the Federal and State Governments,” commented Dato’ Eu Hong Chew, i-City’s Deputy Chairman.

i-City’s Visit Malaysia 2020 plan also includes introducing new attractions at
centralWalk such as the Snow Village, a miniature version of i-City’s renowned SnoWalk, an attraction boasting a winter climate at -8 degrees Celsius with
a snowfall area. Visitors will get a bite-sized SnoWalk experience here at Snow
Village, which is best suited for families including other rides and attractions infused with technology-driven effects.

Another element of i-City’s Visit Malaysia 2020 plan is to continue to add more rides and attractions so that the centralWalk pedestrian link that connects our residences to the Central i-City Mall, becomes the heartbeat of the theme park. In line with the Smart State 2025 vision, greater emphasis will be placed on using digital-based technologies to provide better theme park experiences.

So in summary, do expect more news and updates from our Leisure Theme Park! We will definitely be upgrading and improving our facilities in the near future. Haven’t visited us in a while? Make sure you drop by!
